In celebration of the composer's 250th birthday, Matthew will be the soloist for Beethoven's 2nd Piano Concerto with the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of J. Ernest Green.

Panel Chair and Presentation at 2021 MTNA National Conference
Matthew will be leading the panel, Guiding the Next Generation of Collaborators: Career Paths in Collaborative Piano, at the 2021 Music Teachers National Association Conference. Joining him are fellow presenters Ana Maria Otamendi and Elena Lacheva (Louisiana State University) and Peter Marshall (Georgia State University). Matthew's presentation is titled "Finding Your Voice as an Opera Coach.”

Adjudicating the International Young Artists Piano Competition
Matthew will be judging students for the International Young Artists Piano Competition's Regional Round, held virtually this year. The competition promotes cultural exchange by featuring required Chinese compositions in additional to traditional western Classical music.
